Victorian Open & SWD Championships

Congratulations to our three swimmers who competed in the Victorian Open & SWD Championships on the 13-15 of January. Jessica swam in five events swimming close to her PB in each race as did Michelle in the three breaststroke races she competed in. A huge well done to Khang who swam a massive 14 second PB in the 50m backstroke and was also the youngest swimmer competing in his race.

Victorian Age Championships

A magnificent effort to our six swimmers who competed at this years Victorian Age Championships held in December. This year we had Joanna and Justin both competing at their first Victorian Championships with both athletes doing extremely well. Justin managed to swim PB's in both his breaststroke events and was the 3rd fastest 10 year old in Victoria for the 100m breaststroke. Joanna made the final of the 100m butterfly finishing 9th after a blistering 5 second PB in the heats. She also competed in the 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle. Chloe managed to swim small PB's in her two butterfly events while Sophie also competed in the two breaststroke events. Jessica, who competed in a staggering eight events, qualified for the finals of the 100m breaststroke (9th), 50m freestyle (9th) and 400m IM (7th). Jessica also swam small PB's in the 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke. And finally Brent swam a PB in each of his four races including a 3 second PB in his 100m butterfly and 100m backstroke events as well as breaking the 30 second barrier in the 50m freestyle. Congratulations to each swimmer for their outstanding performances.

Victorian Open SC Championships

Our swimmers have once again managed to amaze the club with stunning times in the pool. Well done to Jessica, Michelle and Sophie, who despite ill health managed to compete in a number of events with some great times. Jessica placed in the top 25 in Victoria for most of her events, and the 50m Breaststroke saw each of our competitors swim massive personal best times.

Victorian Age SC Championships

Congratulations to Brent, Chloe, Jessica and Sophie who competed at the Victorian Age Short Course Championships on the 26-28 of August at MSAC. All our swimmers managed to swim massive personal best times with the highlights of the meet going to Jessica who placed 2nd in the Girls 14 years 200m IM and 3rd in the 100m IM. Her results are to be truly commended as they reflect her dedication to her training, as do the performances of our other swimmers. Congratulations once again.

On the Friday 11th March, Chloe, Jessica and their families flew over to Tasmania with Peter to compete in the Tasmanian Age Championship. Both girls spent all day Saturday and Sunday competing against some of Tasmania’s and Victorias best at the Hobart Aquatic Centre.
Jess had a great result in the 200m Individual Medley while Chloe managed 5 sec PBs in both the 100m Free and 100m Back.
Overall the weekend was enjoyable for all and both Chloe and Jess are looking forward to going back next year.
Victorian Sprint Championships

Congratulations to our team of six swimmers who competed at the Victorian Sprint Championships over the 12th and 13th of February. Many great times were swum with special mentions going to Jessica for placing 6th in the 50m Breaststroke and 9th in the 50m Backstroke, and Michelle who placed 6th in her 50m Butterfly.

Victorian Age Championships

Congratulations to our five swimmers who recently competed at the Victorian Age Championships. Even though some did not swim any personal best times it was a great experience to be part of such an event.
Special mention to Jessica for qualifying in two finals and achieving her national time in the Girls 14 100m Breaststroke. Well done!

Aquajets Christmas Break-Up & Michael Klim Swim Clinic

On Saturday the 11th of December, the Aquajets Swimming Club paid host to Olympic gold medallist Michael Klim. Michael began by speaking to our members and answering questions before conducting a swim clinic, which involved freestyle and butterfly drills followed by a relay. Michael then signed promotional cards and gave some hints to our state swimmers. It was a great experience and we would like to thank Michael very much.
Afterwards the club held its Christmas Break-Up Party. The club would like to thank parents for donating raffle prizes and for bringing a plate to share.
SV Age Short Course Championships

Congratulations to our swimmers who competed at the Victorian Age Short Course Championships. Jessica, Sophie, Chloe, Brent and Grant swum in the new 3-day format event with many PB's and great times posted. Special mention to Jessica who finished 7th in the 100m IM, 9th in the 50m Freestyle, 8th in the 100m Breaststoke and 6th in the 200m IM. Download Full Results.

The Club hosted its annual Presentation Night on Saturday the 22nd of May at Barry Rd. Hall. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all who attended. Many trophies, medals and awards were handed out to everyone. Thank you to everyone who helped in the organisation, preparation and clean-up of this wonderful event.
Metro All Junior Finals

The Metro All Junior Finals were held over the 20-21 March weekend. Congratulations to Jessica for finishing 2nd in the Girls 13 Years Old 50m Breaststroke. Well Done to Claudia and Justin for also making the finals and earning a top ten placing. Well done to our other competitors who swam well earning many PB's: Olivia, Loredana, Patrick, Seren, Joanna, Brent, Christian, Chloe, Izel, Marco, Manuele, Caitlyn, Deanna, Sophie and James. SV Sprint Championships

Well done to our team of athletes who competed at the Victorian Sprint Championships at MSAC on the 13th and 14th of February. Brent swam a PB in his Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly events. Sophie swam consistently in her Breaststroke event. Kris swum PB's in the 50m Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly. Grant swam consistently with his entry times in all of his events and congratulations to Jessica for making the final in the Girls 12 Year Old 50m Breaststroke with a final placing of 8th and a PB. Amid extreme competition from not only Victorian swimmers but swimmers from New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, New Zealand and Japan, our swimmers swum extremely well achieving many PB's along the way. SV 12 & 11/Under Championships

The club wishes to congratulate Chloe, Deanna, Brent and Christian on their terrific results at the recent Victorian 12 &11/Under Championships. Even though for most it was their first Victorian Championships they each swam PB's. Deanna swam a 1 second PB in the 100m breaststroke, Chloe a 2 second PB in the 100m Butterfly, Christian a 3 second PB in the 100m Breaststroke and Brent swam a 2 second PB in the 100m Freestyle, 2 seconds in the Breaststroke and 1 second in the Backstroke.
